The Evangelical Lutheran Parish of St. Gertrude is a fast developing Church with emphasis on mission activity because we believe that only by mission work is the Gospel spread among nations.
We, like the first disciples of Jesus Christ, go to people who are in need and starving for the Word of God, whose burden of sins prevent them from seeing the Loving God, their Redeemer and Savior.
Evangelical Lutheran Parish of St. Gertrude is:
- free in Christ;
- rooted in the Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions;
- working to fulfill Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
St. Gertrude Lutheran is a part of the greater body of Christ. We have great respect for the reality that the church is where the people of God gather together around Word and Sacrament, where the church becomes a concrete reality for God's people.
We thoroughly keep the 500 years old traditions of the Lutheran Church, but at the same time we are a dynamically developing Church following the Covenant of our Heavenly Father.
You are welcome to take a look at our ministry and missions and become our coworkers in the Lord's Vineyard.

St. Gertrude Parish not only gathers together to praise our Lord Jesus Christ for everything He has done for us, we also follow the words of our Lord as He said: “Peace to you! Just as the Father sent me forth, so I send you” (John, 20:21), and “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you all the days until the end of the age.” (Matt, 28:9-20)
We go everywhere our Lord sends us to preach His Holy Word, to tell people the wonderful story about the Son of God who took our sins away, gave His life for us giving the most precious gift in the world – eternal life with Him in Heaven. Presently we have three ministry projects: Clean Water for Kids, Women's Prison Ministry and Ministry in Orphanage for Homeless children. We thank our Lord Jesus Christ that He is sending us as His disciples to the people who need the Word of Comfort most!
